The Legal Analysis, Research, and Writing Program is pleased to announce that Â鶹ÉçÇø’s Zoe Sayler, 2L, is the winner of the Malcolm Edwards ’57 Award for Best Written Advocacy. Prof. Amanda Stephen was Sayler's 1L legal writing professor.
The Edwards Award is given each year to the best piece of written advocacy by a first-year Legal Analysis, Research and Writing (LARW) student during the spring quarter. The prize includes a cash award of $2,000. The award is generously sponsored by the law firm of Smith Goodfriend, P.S., to honor the firm’s founding partner, Malcolm L. Edwards, ’57, an accomplished appellate advocate. The firm's lawyers selected Sayler's brief from among the best briefs from each of the law school's legal writing sections. Please join us in congratulating Sayler for this honor!
