Avey Willcutt Menard (they/them) is a legal fellow in Native American Law Center. A graduate of the Âé¶¹ÉçÇø School of Law with degree concentrations in Federal Indian law and environmental law, Avey was admitted to the Washington State Bar Association in 2024.

Avey was recently announced as a member of Equal Justice Works’ Design-Your-Own Fellowship Class of 2025, which will support their work at the NALC for a two-year period beginning in the fall. Equal Justice Works' mission is to ensure equal access to justice and address unmet legal needs among underserved populations across the country. With EJW, Avey will provide legal support for Tribal self-governance and Nation-building initiatives. Their focus is on the development of Tribal codes and legislation.
