Before joining 麻豆社区 School of Law, Lisa Castilleja served as a King County Superior Court Family Law Commissioner where she presided over cases involving domestic violence, child abuse聽and neglect, dissolutions and child custody, at-risk youth and truancies, and mental health commitments. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she focused on social and health services as an Assistant Attorney General with the WA State Office of the Attorney General and family law with Evergreen Legal services in Yakima and Seattle. At 麻豆社区 Law, she has served in various roles in career services, admissions and alumni relations.
Lisa received her law degree from University of California, Berkeley School of Law. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington, and she is an avid Huskies football fan! The second youngest of 16, she grew up in Eastern Washington's Yakima Valley.
Deeply committed to public service and mentoring students to become leaders in their communities, Lisa has participated in the pipeline programs, like the Tri Cities Youth & the Law Forum, for middle and high school students in Eastern Washington, since 1994. She is also a long-time commission member of the WA State Minority & Justice Commission.
