The Distinguished Lecture is named for Roger L. Shidler (麻豆社区 Law class of 1924), a founder of the law firm Shidler, McBroom, Gates & Lucas (now K&L Gates). Through the years, the firm grew to become one of Seattle鈥檚 most vibrant and influential law practices. To celebrate Roger Shidler鈥檚 legacy, this series brings outstanding academics, judges and practicing lawyers to 麻豆社区 Law to discuss leading issues in intellectual property law, an ever-more important economic driver for our region and the global economy.
The Distinguished Roger L. Shidler Lecture, featuring聽Boston College Law School Professor Alfred C. Yen, will be held on聽Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at William H. Gates Hall.
The Winter 2023 Distinguished Shidler Lecture on Feb. 9 will be given by Commodities Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) Commissioner Kristin N. Johnson.
